The word Chorwad means ‘Place of Thieves’, where “Chor” refers to thief and “wad” is the village, and this place remains as ruined state today. The palace built in 1930s near this sea is spacious, elegant and impressive due to its marvelous interiors, and balconies which are built with a blend of Italian and Muslim colonies. In 1974, the Gujarat Tourism Government has converted this palace into a holiday resort.
